Recognizing Dong Dang International Station as Tourist Attractions of Lang Son province
Lang Son Provincial People’s Committee has just decided to recognize Dong Dang International Railway Station, Cao Loc district as a tourist destination in Decision No. 958 / QD-UBND dated May 27th, 2019. Accordingly, Dong Dang International Railway Station has the rights and obligations to manage tourist spots according to regulations; The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism performs state management of tourism for Dong Dang International Railway Station; Cao Loc District People’s Committee organizes the announcement of the recognized tourist site and performs state management according to regulations.
Dong Dang International Railway Station is located in Dong Dang town, Cao Loc district. It is 14 km far from Lang Son city to the Southeast, is the contiguous place of National Road 1A, 1B, road 4, and road to Huu Nghi International border gate. Dong Dang international station has tourism resources with the advantage of historical value, connecting with convenient transportation infrastructure system and ensuring other conditions on infrastructure, security,etc. Reach to the condition for recognition as a tourist destination.
At the end of February 2019, this place became the focus when welcoming the armored train carrying President Kim – Jong – Un and the North Korean delegation to attend the US – North Korean Summit and official visit to Vietnam. The strength of Dong Dang international station is a bridge which connect Vietnam with ASEAN countries and China. The convenient Rail transport system connects with the major economic centers of Vietnam. Making Dong Dang international station become a major transshipment market of Vietnam and ASEAN countries to the Chinese market and back.
In the coming time, Cao Loc District People’s Committee will organize consultation to develop the Plan of organizing the announcement of Decision No. 958 to implement the State management according to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 75 of the Tourism Law and Regulations; Guide and supervise the propaganda and promotion, ensuring the tourist’s sightseeing condition
